Marian Goodman Gallery Los Angeles
Marian Goodman’s new LA gallery
The Challenge
Marian Goodman Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with locations in New York, Los Angeles and Paris, representing over fifty artists and estates. The gallery engaged Synergy, alongside renowned LA-based architectural design firm Johnston Marklee, to design their new Hollywood gallery space.
Synergy was tasked with architecting and delivering a cost-effective, aesthetic and dependable IT and security solution, enabling gallery staff to operate efficiently, collaborating in real-time with colleagues and clients across the world.
The Solution
Synergy worked with the gallery and other stakeholders to architect and integrate a leading-edge technical solution, comprising redundant multigigabit internet distributed using the latest Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi 6 6 GHz technology, protected with advanced security, fully integrated Cisco Meraki AI-powered IP Surveillance cameras, interfacing with IoT sensors for lighting, climate control, and physical security.
Synergy worked with the owner, architect and contractor to design a future-proof low-voltage cabling solution which would accommodate changes in layout and usage, including audio-visual art exhibitions demanding high-bandwidth, low-latency network connectivity.
In order to allow seamless hybrid working, Synergy implemented Zoom Phone, offering users the choice of softphone and Cisco desk phones.
Synergy delivered the project to the agreed specification, within budget, and in time for the gallery’s September 2023 opening with a solo exhibition dedicated to artist and filmmaker Steve McQueen.
