IT fit-out for gallery in Shanghai’s historic Bund quarter
International dealer Almine Rech was opening a permanent gallery in Shanghai, expanding upon her gallery footprint in Paris, Brussels, London and New York.
The Challenge
Our client needed a full IT fit-out for a space in the historic former Central Bank of China building. Staff had to collaborate efficiently and exchange data with colleagues and clients worldwide, unimpeded by the “Great Firewall of China”.
The Solution
Working alongside the gallery and its architects, Synergy architected a network and security solution which was tailored to gallery’s local requirements and congruent with the space’s aesthetic,
Synergy provided a dedicated local IT Project Manager to coordinate local resources and oversee the delivery of the systems.
Synergy installed a complete surveillance solution, using minimally-invasive 360° cameras with custom vinyl covers.
The outcome
The gallery’s IT systems were commissioned in good time for the gallery’s opening, and the project was handed over on time and in budget. The gallery’s local teams were able to collaborate effectively with their colleagues across the world.
